UK TOP 5 MUSIC VIDEOS

1: CHIP – GETS LIKE THAT (FEAT. GHETTS )

Gets Like That featuring Ghetts is the first music video to be released in preparation for Chip’s first album in 6 years. Chip’s first independent album release League Of My Own 2 arrives on August 11th. With a Chip and Ghetts collab of course there’s bars, but combined with flow and a catchy chorus, the slick black and white visuals had to be #1.

2: Yungen – Bestie (feat.Yxng Bane)

Yungen and Yxng Bane’s attempt at a summer banger with Bestie is a successful one. In the music video they’re filmed living that luxury life abroad, doing everything from quad biking in the desert to club performances.

3: MoStack – Screw & Brew (feat. Mist)

Mostack’s Screw & Brew featuring Mist is one of the standout track from his latest project High Street Kid. The song’s visuals released on June 1st are equally as impressive and similar to Bestie, both bring the essence of that summertime vibe.

4: Stylo G – Yu Zimme Remix (feat. Chip)

Stylo G’s Yu Zimme Remix video featuring Chip is girls galore, simple as that. The fresh visuals were directed by Kevin Hudson.

5: Youngs Teflon – LIFESTYLE

Youngs Teflon, like many artists at the moment is trying to bring that feel-good vibe but LIFESTYLE is unique, bringing road elements in the mix. The vibrant visuals – directed by Chas Appeti are vivid with colour and honestly we’re pleasantly surprised Tef up’d his music video game with the his one.

US TOP 5 MUSIC VIDEOS

1: MEEK MILL – YBA

On Young Black America, Meek Mill throws his ego and flexing out of the window in favour of his more conscious side. While Meek utilises the classic Jay Z beat, the visuals for YBA are of a creative calibre that we’re yet to see from the Dream Chasers Records Founder.

2: 2 Chainz – Trap Check

The Trap Check video sees 2 Chainz, bring to life a chessboard with humans as pieces. The track is featured on his latest album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.

3: Kendrick Lamar – ELEMENT.

The ELEMENT. video sees a different side to Kendrick, as he takes up a role that really portrays his acting. The song ELEMENT. appears as track 4 from his 4th studio album DAMN.

4: DJ Khaled – Wild Thoughts (feat. Rihanna, Bryson Tiller)

Filmed in the Little Haiti neighbourhood of Miami, FL the video compliments the upbeat tropical vibe of the song. Featured on DJ Khaled’s 10th studio album Grateful, Wild Thoughts samples the guitar riff from Santana’s 1999 song, “Maria, Maria“.

5: Rick Ross – Idols Become Rivals

The Idols Become Rivals video starts off in a church and continues to lead down similar themes, as Rozay reflects on whether what he used to believe in is still real. Known worldwide for the controversial lyrics about Birdman, the song was featured on Rick Ross’ latest album, Rather You Than Me.

HONOURABLE MENTION

Big Zuu – Grenfell Tower Tribute

This month it’s only right that an honourable mention is given to Big Zuu’s Grenfell Tower Tribute. Following the disastrous fire that occurred at Grenfell Tower on June 14th in West London, Big Zuu’s Grenfell Tower Tribute praises the coming together of the community. With 79+ deaths, the events of Grenfell are traumatising and unforgettable. Big Zuu’s visuals show a glimpse of the aftermath while sending respect to the many who are grieving.
