Krept x Konan announce ‘7 Days’ and ‘7 Nights’ + release 2 music videos

At long last Krept and Konan have spilled the beans on their long-awaited new projects. The Thornton Heath rap duo will release two mixtapes entitled 7 Days and 7 Nights dropping on October 20th. The long-awaited release will arrive as their latest body of work since their debut album The Long Way Home released in mid 2015. Understandably, the lengthy wait means expectations will be high. The duo haven’t been dormant since TLWH, but now new music is here and more is on the way everyone is definitely waiting to see what they have in store. Can they can deliver the same quality of music which has made them the caliber of artist’s that their currently known for? We’ll know for sure on October 20th.

7 Days and 7 Nights will have guest appearances from Skepta, Stormzy, J Hus, Jhene Aiko, Tory Lanez and more while 7 Days features the previously released Robbery Remix with Abra Cadabra and Konan’s fire freestyle Last Night In LA. To accompany the announcement, two music videos (one from each tape) have been released. Wo Wo Wo from 7 Days features a short intro from Drake who’s been growing his relationships with artists from the UK for a while now. Krept and Konan alongside Giggs, Skepta, Section Boyz and Dave were brought out on stage earlier this year while Drake performed 7 shows in London as part of his Boy Meets World Tour.

Wo Wo Wo sees Krept and Konan on their ultimate flex while bringing a very different style to the table.

For Me from 7 Nights was unexpected and shows versatility with Konan showing off his singing vocals and Krept switching accents.

As artists grow in stature, staying complacent over time is a one way road to falling off. However, long time fans will always crave the Krept and Konan who delivered those unexpected punchlines with the coldest flows. Wo Wo Wo and For Me aren’t bad songs but these releases are examples of them abandoning their oh so loved wordplay and fire bars in replacement for vibes. One greazy track with punchlines and another that brought vibes would have been more effective, but looking at the snippet below there’s still the real rap Krept and Konan to come.
